Stories from the people who Keep Austin Weird!

Welcome

Voices of Austin is a storytelling project dedicated to preserving the stories of community, culture, and everyday Austinites. Through interviews, written profiles, and digital publication, this project strives to celebrate the diverse voices that shape our city and create a platform for those who work hard in making this city unique or as the saying goes "Keep Austin Weird."

Everyone has a story worth telling. Whether they are artists, students, teachers, business owners, service workers, those brand new to the area, or lifelong residents. Voices of Austin will be providing a safe space for those experiences to be shared.

Why This Project Matters

With Austin constantly growing and changing. This project is meant to bring to life stories, of those who don't typically share. Behind every neighborhood, classroom, coffee shop, and restaurant is a person whose experiences have help shape this community. Voices of Austin seeks to preserve those stories and celebrate the people who shape our community.
